If you have a pet emergency, call or drive in right away. Minutes can count,
Dr Scot Trefz purchased Bay Moorings Animal Hospital on May 6, 2013. We have enjoyed meeting you and your furry children! Our ultimate goal is to consistently and reliably provide the very best veterinary care at affordable prices for your four legged family members
in a compassionate, warm and family oriented environment while exceeding clients’ expectations of customer service; just as he and his team have done in Northern Pinellas for over 24 years. He sold his practice in Clearwater, Gulf Bay Animal Hospital, and moved back to his St. Petersburg roots.
Bay Moorings Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Dr. Scot Trefz and his associates, Dr. Jennifer DeStefano and Dr. Austin Plummer, are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments and surgical procedures. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment so your pet can relax in the waiting room and even enjoy a cup of coffee!
We have a number of resources for you to learn about how to take better care of your pets. Browse around and look at our articles and pet videos. We've followed Dr.Trefz from his former hospital in Clearwater because we were unable to find a vet that could live up to the high standards Dr.Trefz and his staff provided to our 4-legged family members. The compassion and love shown to us when we lost our best friends to their Heavenly home was such a blessing. Dr. Trefz and his staff are exceptional professionals, friends and great human beings. The 30 minute drive from Clearwater is well worth it for the wonderful care our sweet boy Hunter receives. Love Dr. Trefz and staff!
